When Ankur puts Ishu to sleep at night, they go through all their usual songs. Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells.
I mean, is he even my son if he doesn’t like Christmas music?!
Anyway, it started this new bit that we all do.
I think maybe it started out with us saying, “Frosty the…” and then Ishu would fill in the blank by saying, “no-man.”
And then Ankur decided to be goofy one day with him and say something like, “Frosty the…puppy.” And then Ankur gasped in shock. Following it up with, “Noooooo. Frosty’s not a puppy. Frosty’s a…” And then Ishu looked up at Ankur, giggling, and responded with, “NO-MAN!”
And, now, after doing it a few times, Ishu does the whole thing himself.
“Frossy the turtle,” Ishu says, and then follows up with “UH. Frossy not turtle. Frossy NO-MAN.”
The other day, when we went on our quick-nik, it was so fun to watch him play around with all the words in his vocab bank.
He was sitting in the backseat saying, “double-decker PACI….UH. DOUBLE-DECKER NOT PACI. DOUBLE-DECKER BUS!”
This age is SO FREAKING CRAZY AND WILD. I mean, I am logging on late today because he wouldn’t detach himself from me. But also wanted me VERY far away from him at the same time. For nearly two hours.
And, despite all the toddler craziness, despite the fact that he says “no” to me every five seconds, it is such a fun age.
Such a fun and tiring age.
