Just in case anyone is wondering, I’m on my second glass of wine.
Tuesday is officially the new Hump Day. Wednesdays are more bearable. You’re halfway through the week on Wednesdays. Tuesday is just the shits.
So, instead of venting about it (who am I kidding? I vented Brianna’s ear off. And Beth. And Jen. And my sister. NBD.), I tried to make my day better by buying our Christmas tree!! 🙂
Name and picture will be shared once she’s fully dressed.
Then, Beth and I made dinner together, poured a glass or two or three of wine, and finally caught up with each other after being apart for more than a week! We didn’t get to see each other yesterday since I drove up to the city right after work for Friendsgiving at Coqueta. We had originally made plans to do a Progressive Dinner where we would eat one part of the meal at someone’s apartment and then walk over to someone else’s apartment for another part. But then, we all got lazy. And decided a restaurant was the way to go.
Now I’m not really a fancy foodie. Subway and Chipotle are typically my restaurant of choice. But I felt like I had to be cool and hip and SF-esque. (<—-If you say that out loud, it sounds like SFX). At these fancy places, they put platters in front of you and every toothpick bite you take, you pay $2.50. No joke. HOLY COW. We spent $100 in seconds.
My favorite item was the brussel sprouts. SO delicious. Fried. And delicious.
We also ordered the roasted cauliflower. Which wasn’t that fab. But probably super expensive.
We ordered a couple other dishes. But my favorite was dessert: churros dipped in chocolate. YUM.
Now I’m back in the burbs hanging with our tree. And this bottle.
Until next time.
Questions of the Day:
- Do you get a Christmas tree? Do you name it?
- Is your hump day on Tuesday or Wednesday?
