Our sweet angel baby is 4 months old today.

This past month, we got to spend a good chunk of time in California. And this little chunk got passed around from person to person like a hot potato.

But to quote a friend here (who was trying to describe her experience going from 1 kid to 2), this baby #2 is not a “sack of potatoes” that we lug around from place to place at the whim of baby #1’s schedule. 

While Riyaan was pretty go-with-the-flow during the first few weeks of his life, he is definitely not one to sit back while Ishu takes center stage.

It’s during this trip to California that we found out that this city baby is not at all interested in cars. No way, no how. Put him in his car seat and he will blow an eardrum out.

He has also decided that the pacifier life is not for him. 

In fact, if you try to stick the paci in his mouth, he will blow out your other eardrum. It’s boob or nothing for this kid.

Things he likes? 

His hands, his penguin teether, the lit-up trees lining the streets and the skyscrapers. Books, his bouncer, and baths. His diaper changing pad is the place he kicks the most. And he loves watching his dad pretend-sneeze over and over and over again. But what (or rather, who) does he love the MOST? The person that makes him giggle and smile more than anyone or anything? 

His brother. 

He’s obsessed with his brother. 

Head over heels in love with his brother. 

And it’s been the sweetest thing to watch.

Ishu calls him his little baby doll. The nicknames, “Chubby Chubbers” and “Tummy Tummers” are still going strong. 

We love you, Chubby Chubbers. 

We love your happy baby squeals, your beautiful smile that you flash to anyone and everyone (so long as you’re well fed), and your twinkling eyes. 

LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU.
