I’m not one to take advantage of the Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals. The last thing I need in my life is more STUFF.
BUT. I’ve been monitoring the CorePower Yoga website for over a year now, waiting for them to drop some incredible discount. ‘Cause I just wasn’t going to be able to pay their regular price. And they DO offer a teacher/education discount but, because I was working for a district through a third-party company, I don’t think it would count. I had no teacher ID.
ANYWAY, I DID IT. They had a great deal for Black Friday and I jumped on board to lock in the price.
And then, yesterday, I went to my first CorePower class. It was one of their lower intensity classes because I haven’t really done a real workout since before I injured my SI joint during pregnancy. And I certainly haven’t taken a yoga class in YEARS.
I walked in and the room was HOT. They didn’t add any heat but it was just residual heat from the class before. 86 degrees while getting back into yoga? Yikes.
Anyway, I held my own. Fell back into child’s pose when I couldn’t. And made my way through the 60 minute class.
And, this morning, I am SORE. But in a good way. Like, “hey, remember you have these muscles here?!” way.
I was grateful Ishu wanted to mix the pancake batter this morning because my arms were not having it.
I’m excited for this membership and hope that I can get stronger, more present, more in touch with this body of mine.
Okay, now I must go get this 4-year old’s body ready for school.
We are all back on Chicago time now. Took us a minute, but we are here.
Have a good one!
