Good morning from this “pee-nano” playing kiddo.
Ishu’s Nikku Chacha sent him a child-sized piano for his 2nd birthday and he is obsessed.
He helped us put it together and the entire time we were screwing in the legs and setting up the bench, he kept saying, “Ishu’s pee-nano.”
This kid has everything he could ever want in our living room. Courtesy of the entire fam.
Thank you, family, for embracing our kid’s interests and encouraging him to dive deeper. We love you all.
HAPPY FRIDAY, FOLKS!
Ankur has to work this weekend, but I, for one, am happy for the pause on work e-mails so I can get caught up on, you know, work. The end of year eval scramble.
Ever since my little epiphany earlier this week, I have been trying to move slower and incorporate Ishu into all the tasks I do. So I can stand there and do them ALL at one time. And not try to be a multitasking mama.
His favorite thing is putting our kitchen utensils away. It’s so cute to watch him. He’ll whisper under his breath, “Spoon go der, fork go der.” And when he’s done putting them away, he lifts the basket up and says, “ISHU DID IT!”
The pride. I love it so much.
It’s funny how doing a chore WITH him can actually prevent a meltdown when, I imagine, the same thing would initiate a meltdown in his teenage years. Ha.
So, I’ll take it. I’ll take the slower, doing-everything-together moments because I’m sure there will come a day when he’ll roll his eyes at me for asking him to put some dishes in the dishwasher.
Hope you all are having a good week (taking one task at a time!) and have a great, great weekend!

Wow what a grand gift from Chachu.
Your living room can easily be a toddlers classroom.
In your next post please share some pictures of all what you have in your living room.
You could actually run a class.
The kids will be lucky to have such a qualified teacher like you. ♥️
