After a weekend of birthday festivities, Nani and Nanu flew back to California last night.

And at the beginning of next month, we get to have Dadi here for a week.

We’ve got two lucky kiddos that have family that want to celebrate all the big and little things with them. They really have no clue how lucky they are.

After we said our goodbyes, Riyu and I picked Ishu up from school and then I drove up to Three Avenues Bookshop for an Emily Henry book release party. I’ve never been to one before. And never been to this particular bookstore in Chicago. So it was just a real fun experience for me.

After a long couple weeks, I wanted nothing more than to cancel. But it was one of those things that I knew I’d enjoy if I could just get myself THERE.

And I certainly did.

I love being around book people. In a bookstore. Talking all things books.

They had a mocktail bar, Emily Henry BINGO, and Emily Henry trivia.

Can’t wait to dive into her new book!

First, I have to read Abby J’s new book for book club next week.

Ahhh, too many books, never enough time.
