Don’t Get Too Comfortable

Okay, we’re back in somewhat of a routine.

But don’t worry.

Because next week we’re going to blow it up again.

Ishu’s school is off for almost a week for PD + Labor Day.

Which is fine. I mean, his school is year-round and they are ALWAYS open. I mean, always.

So, if they need to reset the classrooms and have some kid-free days, no stress off my back. (I know other parents struggle with this, I am not discounting that this can feel hard for some families).

The hard thing, of course, is just when you get into the groove of things, there will inevitably be a thing that knocks you off balance. This is just life.

Anyway, it reminded me of something my friend Anuja shared with me when I entered the world of parenting. “Don’t get too comfortable.”

Four words.

If it’s hard, it’ll pass.

If it’s easy, it’ll pass.

So all you gotta do is just embrace the ups and downs as best you can, I guess.
