Good morning from stormy Tennessee! It has been windy and rainy since midnight and the lightning and thunder actually woke me up a couple times in the middle of the night.
Confession: Around 3AM this morning, I thought, “There’s no possible way I could drive to work when it’s so crazy outside.” And I almost called in a substitute teacher for the day. But that’d be pretty embarrassing that the girl from California had to call in a sub because she was too scared to drive in what is probably a normal storm out here.
So, I’m drinking my coffee and crossing my fingers that it’ll hopefully calm down in the next two hours before I head out.
But, in the spirit of confessing, let’s carry on with some additional confessions from this past week!
Confession:
We drew “Secret Pals” at work and are supposed to gift them a couple of things over the next few weeks until the big Staff Dinner in December.
I’ve dropped off a necklace, a box of cookies, a couple brownies. And, on Monday, I filled up a small Tupperware with Peanut M&Ms. But, the thing about Tupperware is that it opens up pretty easily. So, before I gifted them, I snagged a couple from the top. Oops.
Confession:
I have been eating non-stop since Thanksgiving. (See M&M story from above).
There’s something about the holidays that makes me feel like calories don’t count. But, my body hasn’t really jumped on board with that theory, so I’m feeling pretty icky on my insides. Someone needs to knock some sense into me. Or at least knock the food out of my hands before it reaches my mouth.
Confession:
Sister was here for a week, so toward the end of her visit, she did a couple loads of laundry.
I was pretty confused when she would get up immediately after the washer was finished to put the clothes in the dryer. I was even more confused when she got up to grab the clothes from the dryer to fold them and put them away.
All in one day.
Impressive.
If you’ve been with me for a few months, you’ll remember the Confessions post back in March where I talked about how I do laundry.
Oops.
Questions of the Day:
- What are your favorite kind of M&Ms?
- How do you reel your appetite back in after Thanksgiving?
- Who does the laundry in your house? Is it all in one go? Or do you live out of your laundry basket like I do on occasion?
- ‘FESS UP! Tell me a secret.

hahaha love these confessions. I have definitely been enjoying extra sweets the past couple of weeks too. I do laundry all in one swoop too. It drives me insane if its not folded and put away.

My favorite M&M’s are the ones with peanuts in them. Love!
No issues with over eating on Thanksgiving and the days afterwards. My husband and I house hop and intentionally leave the left overs for someone else 🙂
I do the laundry in my house because I’m weird about how things get folded. 😉
eatteachblog says
That’s the smartest idea. I always tell people the best thing about having people over for dinner is that you get to keep the leftovers. The worst thing about having people over for dinner is that you get to keep the leftovers. Hahah.
Ola says
I like M&Ms with peanuts. I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, so I’m in the clear there. As for as the laundry goes, I usually wash one day and fold the next. But if I’m I have the time, I’ll wash/dry/fold in the same day – a rare moment indeed.
Crystal Cook says
Your sister just isn’t normal! I do most of the laundry, the kids (I say kids, but they are grown men) do their own every once in a while. I forget to put it it the dryer sometimes and have to re-run them the next day. I am pretty good at getting them out and folded, but then I leave them stacked on the dryer or on the dresser for a while . . . or until they’ve all been worn 😜
Barry Richardson says
I wash, dry, iron, fold and put away my clothes in one day too – it’s easy when you know how!

Your obviously in a good part of TN, glad all is safe and sound with you.
I like peanut m&m’s. I still have a sliver of pie left from the day. Whatever I’m over eatin I’m also working out more so I hope it makes up for it if I’m not ahead of the game. I have teeno responsible for their laundry so that helps a bit. I don’t necessarily jump up for laundry but I do get it on the next commercial, lol.

Ah thanks for your confessions, I think it makes us all feel a little better about ourselves (knowing we’re all in the same boat). I mix it up with the laundry, some days I do it all in one bag and other times it sits in random piles in the spare room for days until I sort and iron it!

Love your Confessions. You are a darling honest soul.
Reeling back the appetite……..Doable if you can restrict yourself starting early in the morning and start off with healthy eating in the morning and a nice workout class on your laptop.
Hopefully your body and mind will be on a positive direction and will want to keep it going in that direction.
Once you are successful the first day and the second day, then hopefully a week and the rest of the 4 weeks till Christmas. Good luck. Hope it works.
Laundry…… I am Blessed that mom lives at home and she folds the laundry so so good that no ironing is ever needed in our home. Its all done in one day.
Chow for now!!!!

We had our Thanksgiving a while back so, I started all over again with my American Friends. Will the eating never stop?
As to the laundry….I just have one set of clothes, so when they are dirty, I run around naked and wait till I can put them back on….Just Kidding.
As to confessions well, tomorrow December 1st I will have been married to the same man for 44 years……that’s enough of a confession! I must be crazy!

Crispy M&M’s are my absolute fave! The problem with that is that all of my friends and family know that so they are (very sweetly and with the best of hearts) buying me bags of them which only encourages my lack of will-power when it comes to them. Lol. I love your laundry story. I have a friend that is the same way and I’m just sitting there like, “Wow… there are people who don’t actually need the ‘fluff’ setting on the dryer?” Mind-boggling. 😉
Carrie says
I do the laundry in our home and I typically try to knock it out in one day. Then I am done with it and don’t have to worry about it anymore. However my mother in law washes a load or two and then throws them on the couch and leaves them… until I normally break down and fold them for them.

Bahaha!! Loved that bit about the laundry! Our laundry sits in the dryer for daayyyys. Then it gets moved to a basket and sits there for several more days. Then the basket becomes empty because we’ve reworn everything in it and now it’s dirty. Aint nobody got time to put away clothes!
Rosey says
I feel like calories don’t count this time of year too. Of course my clothes don’t agree with me as they end up getting snug.
