Good morning! We are one day closer to Friday and I am so excited for two days with no alarm clock. Don’t get me wrong. I love waking up with a purpose and a routine every day. I just wish that routine would start at 10AM instead. When both the students (and teachers!) are fully awake.
This morning, I’ve got another round of confessions. Normally they go out on Wednesdays but after Mondays events, I felt that this was a more appropriate blog post yesterday. Because, you know, that’s probably more heartwarming than my confessions post about how I drank 7 glasses of wine for dinner.
But, small update on the “Miss Brownie” boy? He remembered my name. My real name. And he came in at the end of the day yesterday and asked me if I needed help with anything. We’re making progress, friends. We’re basically BFFs.
But now let’s do some confessions. Because I’ve got a few to make.
These are my confessions…
- I have a system every Monday for my Weight Watchers Meeting at 6PM. I don’t eat my peanut butter and toast in the morning (even though I do it on every other morning). It’s just eggs for breakfast on weigh-in day! I refuse to eat (or drink) anything after 2PM. This includes water. I wear the lightest dress I own to weigh in. (I’ve weighed myself on my scale at home with a few dresses on to determine which is the lightest outfit). I pack a snack because by the time I’m done with the weigh-in part, I’m starving and I don’t want to wait until the meeting is over to eat. And then I come home, eat the rest of my dailies and dip into my weeklies for a glass of wine (or two or three). Every time. But it’s working. So I’m gonna keep doing it. (Don’t you dare judge me).
2) I threw away a part of my Hello Fresh meal. The seitan sloppy joes that we made last week were great. Except, while making the “sloppy joe” part, I had to dump some red wine vinegar into the pan. Shortly after, the smell that came out of the kitchen reminded me of a science experiment I did in 5th grade. So, the fact that they would recommend mixing this into already-smelly-arugula for a side salad? No thank you.
3) I just got back from the gym a few minutes ago. We got there at 5:15 this morning and I wasn’t fully awake. I hopped on the stationary bike hoping to warm up on it for a few minutes to wake my body up. Instead, I stayed on it the entire 45 minutes. Veeeeeeeeryyyyyy slowwwwwwwly.
Now I’m off to make some breakfast, pack my lunch, and hurry on out the door.
Have a good one!
Questions of the Day:
- Do you use red wine vinegar to cook?
- Did you work out today?
- ‘Fess up. Tell me a secret!
