Good morning!
I’m currently sitting at the kitchen table – coffee in hand (duh) – prepping some breakfast stuff before Ankur leaves for Orientation Day #2. The first day of orientation went well yesterday. We started the day off together and then separated at lunch – him with the students and me with the spouses – until about 4PM. While I have had many concerns about moving to this small town, I am certainly grateful for the family atmosphere and the supportive network of people to go through this experience with!
Today, Ankur’s on his own, but I’ve got plenty to keep me busy today.
Starting with this blog post – which includes another round of confessions since I missed last week!
Confession:
In all seriousness, I calculated the number of WW points that my fro-yo order usually is and it’s a whopping 28 points. (I get 32 for a day).
Confession:
AS I WAS TYPING THIS INFORMATION TO MY SISTERS, I polished off my fro-yo. Knowing full well that I would have consumed 28 points by the time I reached the bottom of the container.
Confession:
I live in a town that’s pretty conservative. Yet I have no problem being vocal about my political views. Especially after Michelle Obama killed it at the DNC.
Confession:
I bought this dress and this sweater on Amazon. This is what I have resorted to since there is nowhere to go shopping here.
Confession:
I got Blue Apron as a birthday gift from the cousins. But I got duped into buying a subscription to HelloFresh as well. Ummmm…pre-packaged portion-controlled ingredients? At my door? With a recipe attached? How could I not?
Confession:
This isn’t my confession as much as it is Ankur’s. But he’s given me permission to share it in the Internet world. I’m on Harry Potter #7. Halfway through it. And Ankur is OBSESSED with Harry Potter. So, occasionally, I’ll switch between Kindle and iPhone (audiobook) and, whenever it’s on audiobook, Ankur follows me around the apartment. So much so that I had it playing while I went to the bathroom and he stood outside the door – wanting to hear everything that was happening (in the story, not the bathroom. Gross.)
And that’s it.
I’ve got a few errands to run and I’m going to attempt to do some handiwork around the apartment as I listen to Harry Potter. I feel mixed emotions about reaching the end of the series. Gah. J.K. Rowling is a freaking genius. I want to be inside her brain.
Have a fantastic Wednesday!
Questions of the Day:
- What’s your froyo order?
- Did you watch the DNC? Did you cry when Michelle gave her speech?
- Do you subscribe to any meal or veggie/CSA boxes?
- If you could be in anyone’s brain for a day, who would it be?
