Hello! Hope you’re having a fantastic Saturday. We’ve set ourselves up on the couch to watch Wanderlust. So I’ll bust out this post quickly. Ready, go!
Friday:
We spent most of the day on Friday packing up our office and organizing things into boxes. It’s so crazy that this year is wrapping up so quickly!
After work, I went home, organized a couple of things (that I’ve been putting off for quite some time), and then went to the San Jose Caltrain to pick Hema up. From there, the two of us drove over to Salinas. We hit a little bit of traffic, but we were pretty busy rehashing our respective weeks that it didn’t really bother us too much.
When we got to Salinas, we were greeted with some homemade Chipotle bowls.
Paired with a margarita on the rocks = Delicious.
While the rest of the family planted themselves in front of the TV to watch the rest of the hockey game to see who won the Stanley Cup (Go Kings!), I entertained myself with a chocolate cup.
Way more appealing.
Saturday:
Woke up to this little one.
And then this bigger one went out to pick up some much needed coffee. <3
Warning: Object in picture may seem bigger than PEOPLE
Bhabhi and I drove over to Monterey around 10:30 for our final Prime Method meeting. On our way back, we popped into this tasting room real quick.
The patio was adorable so I had high hopes that the wine would be equally as fabulous.
We tried six different wines and only liked one of them. We ended up buying the Sauvignon Blanc that we liked (only $13 a bottle), but left feeling very unimpressed by the others.
When we got home, Bhaiya got the grill fired up and cooked up some turkey burgers, chicken kebabs, and veggies.
Can I just say that BBQ-ing is one of my all-time favorite things to do in the summer?
And, per usual, this little one was mixing up some water + dirt. So busy with all his little knick-knacks.
While we were eating lunch, Sister called us up and said that she sent a package for the baby. So we went outside to open up the mail and, lo and behold, Baby got all sorts of kitchen goodies. If you recall from this last post, the baby LOVES helping out in the kitchen. And now he has his very own, appropriate-sized accessories.
He wasn’t really sure at first what he should do with all the things.
But it really didn’t matter because he got to match his Papa. And that was enough to get him excited.
After lounging around for a little bit, I decided to escape for an hour and go for a run/hike around the neighborhood.
If I got to spend at least 1-2 hours outside frolicking around each day, my life would be happy. Especially with views like this.
When I got back, Hema and I drove to go pick up some froyo for the family.
It’s no Yogurtland. But nothing really is.
Hope you’re all having a great weekend! 🙂
Questions of the Day:
- Favorite froyo place?
- Starbucks or Peets?
- Favorite salsa at Chipotle?
