We’re back back back in Chicago.
It’s more like a pitstop before we turn around and go back to California again.
But, we came back. And, boy, was it fun watching Ankur and Ishu reunite.
We were waiting for Ankur to pick us up at Arrivals and Ishu was being a cranky pants. Which, obviously, makes sense because he had just sat through a 4 hour flight and I was making him sit some more.
But when Ankur pulled up, I got Ishu out of the stroller and Ankur hopped out of the car. And Ishu had the smiliest smile ever. They were so focused on each other that they didn’t see the people watching them saying “awwwwwww” and “isn’t that the sweetest thing?!” I mean, it WAS pretty darn sweet.
The cutest father-son reunion.
It was pretty surreal to leave out of SFO where it was so sunny and beautiful. And then, here, we experienced our first snowfall. It isn’t cold enough – or enough snow – to stick.
But it SNOWED.
I feel unprepared for myself. But Ishu’s got all the things to handle winter.
We ordered this accessory for the stroller. It’s like a warm, cozy sleeping bag.
We took it for a twirl on Saturday to the park and then, again, on Sunday to the Children’s Museum.
He’s all set. He got to the museum all warm and dry. Me on the other hand?
Well, I’m going to need to invest in a few more things.
WINTER IS COMING.
I feel like I kinda wanna cry about it. But I’m afraid my tears will turn into icicles.

Yeah, Winter is rough if you aren’t used to it. It snowed a tiny bit yesterday but didn’t stick. It’s been more wet and cold here. Blah! I love Ishu’s little stroller snuggy, if you will. He looks so cozy. And his reunion with Ankur sounds adorable.
