And I’m back after a few weeks of non-stop work and this past week of non-stop play.
I don’t know what it is. Some days, I’m too busy with work that by the end of the day, I’m just too exhausted to open up the computer and write a post. This past week, I was trying to enjoy the days off so the idea of opening up the computer to write a post didn’t seem too appealing. (Not to mention, I spent all week with my nephew, who is the most adorable baby ever and I’m not just being biased). Either way, I’m making up excuses. It’s kind of like working out – the thought of doing it seems draining, but once it’s done, you feel great and better than you did before. Speaking of working out….
I have been LOVING Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp. Every two weeks, she sends out new workouts with detailed instructions on how to do each exercise. Like I said before, she modifies them and gives you at-home options (if you’re like me and don’t want to sit through post-work traffic to the gym).
The Best Body Bootcamp program does not include a nutrition plan, but Tina encourages people to develop two individualized goals that can relate to anything.
For the past two weeks, my goals have been:
- Leave work before 5PM daily.
- Drink at least 8 cups of water daily
I feel like I’ve been pretty good at meeting these goals and so it hasn’t been too much of a challenge. For the second half of bootcamp, I’m going to change up my goals – hoping that this change will allow me to be more mindful with my day. My new goals for the remainder of bootcamp will be:
- Complete food journal (MyFitnessPal) and stay under calories each day.
- Take one hour each day for myself. Whether that be a walk along the trail, reading a just-for-fun book, catching up on The Voice (I’m so behind!), or making a dent in all the crafts I’ve pinned – I need to take more time to do things for myself. Because let’s face it, if I burn out with work, the kids aren’t going to benefit. This hour each day will help keep me sane! 🙂
