Another night of snowfall! I’m peering down to the street and, it’s obviously too early for the sidewalks to be cleared. I’m sure people are out there before the work day begins to clear up walkways, etc.
But I was planning to take Ishu to get his 5th and final rabies shot. And wanted to do it as soon as he’s up (which I guess is now since he woke up as I was in the middle of typing this sentence. Now he’s busy playing with pom-poms).
So, we’ve eaten breakfast and I’m ready. Just gotta bundle him up and then we’re gonna head out the door. And I think we gotta wear our boots to walk over there because the snow hasn’t yet been paved.
Wow, are we Chicago-ans or what.
Two days ago, I was feeling extra nauseous and I thought maybe I was developing some sort of gluten intolerance. Or my mind starting thinking of all these other reasons. And then I left the apartment while Bella was at home with Ishu. And, on my walk to the coffee shop, my symptoms disappeared.
So basically I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m poisoning myself (and Ishu) by keeping us cooped up in a non-ventilated (or very, very limited ventilation) apartment. (It had been 3 days of straight apartment chillin’ at that point).
While it isn’t my cup of tea to be frozen outdoors, I think I’d prefer being outside than that feeling of nausea. And if *I* was feeling that way, I’m sure Ishu feels some type of way but isn’t able to express that to me.
So, yes.
Prepare for more outdoor pictures of us hanging out in the snow.
We spent a good chunk of time yesterday and I actually came home and had enough energy to cook dinner and clean up the apartment (which I hadn’t been doing for the past couple days).
I also Googled a lot of things and did you know that Sick Building Syndrome is a thing?
Ankur thinks that’s not the case because I’d have more respiratory issues and not simply nausea alone. But maybe it’s not mold or anything. But just poor circulation of air? Cause we aren’t cracking open our window.
So the building is making us sick.
It is cold outside.
But I choose cold over nausea.
So, time to bundle up and brave the snow.

Make sure that the problem is not mold or dampness. If that’s the case, it can lead to more serious ailments than nausea in the long run.
There are several ways to spot dampness around your home:
1. A damp musty smell
2. Dark or discolored patches on walls or plaster
3. Listing or peeling wallpaper
4. The appearance of mold or mildew on walls, floors, or ceilings
5. Walls floors or ceilings that feel cold or damp.

Another thing that can cause the extra humidity in the house and which at the same time can signal it is clogged condensate drain channels of your air conditioner. If these become clogged, the unit won’t remove humidity, leading to moisture buildup in the home. The extra moisture can lead to the discoloration of furniture and walls and aid in mold and mildew growth.
