You know you’re not ready for the day when your alarm goes off, you reach over and unplug what you THINK is your phone, pull it back to check the time, and spill water all over your face. Because what you ACTUALLY grabbed was your diffuser.
Fail.
In any case, that saved me a shower. I smell great.
Moving on….
Despite the fact that I worked for a few hours on Sunday, I didn’t feel quite that prepared going into Monday morning. (But really, does anyone really feel ready to say goodbye to the weekend?)
I thought I’d start my day off on a positive note by making a run to downtown Campbell to get some coffee in my system.
I had two IEP meetings right in the middle of the day so it had me feeling a little scattered and all over the place. Plus there were Girl Scout cookies on the staff room table so there was a lot of wandering in, grabbing a box, and then quickly changing my mind and walking out of the room.
(Every Monday morning I make healthy choices. By Monday afternoon, all goes to shit. Luckily, the Girl Scout cookies were gone by then).
While in a meeting, this popped up in my inbox and I couldn’t shake the craving all day. There’s something about quinoa topped with all sorts of goodies that makes for an enticing meal. I love quinoa and/or rice bowls.
After yoga, Jen and I went to pick up some bowls for dinner. (We also bought an extra bowl for lunch today. Duh. How efficient).
I then made my way over to Amanda, Nikita, and Haley’s place. Where I was forced to watch The Bachelor.
But it didn’t take long to hook me in.
After 5 minutes, I opened up my calendar and blocked off 8-10 next Monday. To watch the final episode, obviously.
Why is it so easy to suck me in to these things?
Now I’m off to work! I’ve got two meetings after school so it’ll be a bit of a long day. But I’m 1/3 through the work week (no kiddos Thursday or Friday) and I’m already up and kickin’ today so that’s gotta count for something.
