So I’m not quite packed for my two-week trip to Vegas, Japan, and Southern California.
I blame it on Book Club.
But it was worth it.
Our book this time was The Girl on the Train, which was really twisted and weird. But it was a quick read and kept me captivated the whole time!
Book Club Highlights:
1) I finished the book just in the nick of time. [There may have been some reading while driving and stopping at traffic lights.]
2) We ate some homemade mac & cheese. [And by homemade, I mean Annie’s. That takes way more effort than the instant shit. Give me some credit!]
3) I got some quality time with some of my favorite humans.
4) Wine.
We picked a new book [Ghost Boy] and selected a date for our next meeting! It’s funny to see how our preparation for book club has evolved over time. When we first started back in Jan 2014, we made official ballots and book summaries and all that jazz.
Now we use Post-it’s. It gets the job done just fine. And saves trees.
Looking forward to some solid reading time this spring break!
Question of the Day:
- What are you currently reading?

I love the official ballots! If I come up with the book selections next time, I can make the ballots! 🙂 though you’re right, book club has evolved to the point where ballots would just be a waste. We don’t even do the structured questions anymore – which is fine!

I just finished the Goldfinch and LOVED it. It’s long, but I love the Met and that’s why I read it…and realized it was so much more!
