We did, in fact, spend more than half our day watching Ms. Rachel yesterday.
I never jumped on the Ms. Rachel bandwagon when Ishu was younger because he was such a hardcore Curious George fan and that was all he’d watch.
And then from there, he fell in love with shows like Super Why and Wild Kratts. And now enjoys watching any and all Disney movies.
So Ms. Rachel wasn’t really on our radar back then or now.
But, after watching some of her videos, I totally understand the hype.
I’m a Ms. Rachel believer now.
Anyway, we watched three different videos. In the Halloween video, she shares a joke.
“What is a ghost’s favorite fruit?”
BOO-BERRIES!
And in another video, she asks, “What does a butterfly sleep on?”
A CATER-PILLOW!
I was trying to present these jokes again to Ishu. And deliver the punchline very slowly so he could understand it.
I was really drawing out the “Boooooo” and the “berries” separately. And emphasizing the “pillow” real slowly.
So then Ishu looked at me and said, “I have a joke!”
“Okay, what’s your joke?” I asked.
“What does a monkey sleep on?” he asked me.
“What?” I smiled, wondering where this was heading.
“WAAAAAAAATERRRRR,” he said with a satisfied grin.
Apparently he thinks jokes are when you just say whatever the heck you want but you say it really slowly.
HAHAHA.
Okay, today is a new day. I got more sleep last night. My sweet friend, Joanna, DoorDashed coffee and lunch yesterday and I felt so loved and supported. Ishu’s still sleeping, so I’m not sure where we’re at with that kid. If we’re sending him to school or not. But, either way, we’re getting outside today.
NEW DAY, NEW MAMA.
Happy Friday!
If you feel so compelled, please leave a joke below for my 3-year old. 🙂
Auntie Jenn says
Why did the solider flush the toilet? Because it was his doodie 😂
Ishu’s Dadi says
What is a monsters favorite dessert?
I scream.
😂🤣
Happy Halloween 🎃 👻🧌🎃
