The tulips are BLOOMING!
They add so much beautiful color to these city streets. We didn’t move until July of last year so this is our first spring experience in Chicago. And, I gotta tell ya, I’m a fan.
While on a walk the other day, I stopped the stroller in front of the flowers to admire them.
“Look, Ishu,” I started. “The flowers are blooming! Aren’t they so beautiful?”
“OJ (Orange) DUMP TRUCK,” he screamed.
“But the flowers,” I pointed.
“OJ DUMP TRUCK,” he pointed at the recycling truck in front of us.
“Yes, yes, dump truck! And FLOWERS, LOOK!” I laughed.
“OJ DUMP TRUCK O’ER DER,” he squealed.
All this to say, you can’t demand a toddler pay attention to beautiful flowers when there are dump trucks to be seen. I guess everyone’s definition of beauty is different. Ha.
Cutest little stinker.
Happy Thursday! My sister and brother-in-law and baby Maya are visiting this weekend! They get in today. So I gotta keep this one short so I can get up and get this place ready!
Have a good one! <3
