It is my last and final week at work. And last and final week in this apartment. The movers are coming this weekend to pick up all the furniture and then we’ll officially be homeless.
So, to say this week will be extra emotional is a complete understatement.
Some grape juice will be needed to help me process (or rather, not process….) all the goodbyes and endings.
But, before I get too teary-eyed, let’s relive this past weekend through pictures.
Friday:
Finishing off parent-teacher conferences with a bang. Or a pop. Or, really, a pour.
Which was then followed by me passing out on the couch during the Warriors game. Typical Friday night.
Saturday:
Jen’s festivities continue! We all gathered at Karyl’s home for Jen’s bridal shower.
Everything was decorated so beautifully. My favorite being the mimosa bar. Obviously.
After lunch, we played a few games. One of the games was a “How well do you know the bride?” game.
Emily and I got a little competitive on this one.
We both tied. Both of us got more points than Juan. #Winning #JenChoseTheJuan #ShouldHaveChosenDivyaAndEmily
After Jen’s bridal shower, Ankur and I drove to Clayton for Casey and Rose’s wedding. We missed the ceremony, but were luckily able to make it there with plenty of time to celebrate the newlyweds!
Before heading back home, we visited Ankur’s old neighborhood and the home he grew up in. I loved getting to see all the things and he loved getting to show me all the things. Like the Baskin Robbins he worked at for two weeks. And the park where he had his graduation party. And the street he grew up on. So, naturally, selfies were required.
We stopped at Fresh Millions for dinner. Because, apparently, vodka and champagne don’t count as a well-balanced meal.
Sunday:
I slept in until 9AM (this never happens!) and woke up feeling lazier than usual. I blame the weather. (Or the dehydration…). Around noon, we drove over to Walnut Creek to pick out an early birthday present from my new Mama 🙂
So excited to add charms to this beautiful bracelet! <3
The remainder of the day consisted of cleaning, Harry Potter, and a little food prep.
The final countdown is on.
Seven more days of this apartment.
Five more days of work.
Three more days with kiddos.
Approximately two more minutes until the tears start rollin’.
Wish me luck for the remainder of the week.
Happy Monday!
Questions of the Day:

- What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this week?
