**Warning: Do NOT read this post if you have not read or watched Harry Potter and are planning to do so at some point before you die.
I’ve been on a Harry Potter binge for the past few months.
I’ve been slowwwwlyyyyyy reading each book because I’m SO IN LOVE WITH IT and I’m afraid of it ending. And I’m afraid of turning into all the other HP fans. Hoping for more. Wishing it would never end.
HOWEVER, in savoring every chapter, I’ve put myself in a vulnerable position.
Before, when I was oblivious to anything HP-related, you could talk around me in circles about events that happened in the books and I wouldn’t be able to make connections.
NOW, I’m hearing things left and right that are ruining things for me.
Like, Harry gets with Ginny? WHAT? [Thank you, NPR, for ruining my life].
Or DOBBY DIES? WHAT? [Thank you, Big Bang Theory, for ruining my life].
I just finished #5 – Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix.
And I’m pretty sure I need to go into hiding until I finish the next two books…
(If you need me, I’ll be in my bed with Harry Potter. DON’T ruin it for me.)

A very important plot point was spoiled for me during the series, but I had to remember: It’s not about the plot or the spoilers; it’s about enjoying the adventure!
By the way, Terry and I have each read the full series at least four or five times, and we also own all the audiobooks on CD and listen to the full series once a year (plus we watch the movies after listening to each book). So even when you finish, the adventure isn’t over! Enjoy!
