It’s 9:30am and I’m over here inhaling this salad.
Yes, you heard me correct. Salad. When you have breakfast at 4am, lunch time is at 9:30.
We are trying to figure out if Ishaan is ready to transition to one nap. But, based on how early he’s getting up, I’m thinking that’s a big fat no.
It’s hard to know what works with him because every time we get into a groove, we mess it up by visiting Nani and Nanu. He’s so resistant to napping at their house because it’s TOO MUCH FUN with so many people loving on him.
It takes us a few days to recover when things get thrown off and, by the time we recover, we’re back at it, messing it all up again.
It’s fine. We can get into a good routine when we get to Chicago. Our days here are limited so if that means our sleep gets effed a little, so be it.
He’s napping now. Tired from the two walks we’ve already been on today.
He gets so excited to go outside. It’s the best way to calm him down if he’s fussy. He’s a happy little camper when he gets to see the birds. Today, he also got to see a stray cat and it made me giggle when he started meow-ing at it.
I LOVE it when I see him making connections between pictures and the real world. Like when he started eating blueberries and saw a picture of blueberries and recognized it? I thought it was the coolest thing. I know all babies do this, but it’s such a crazy thing to witness the transitions up close each and every day. It’s like things change every single hour with him.
Well, it’s going to be a nice, not-so-hot day today so I imagine we’ll go for another long walk when he wakes up. And then later this afternoon, Ishu gets to meet his Bhanu Chachu for the first time!
Another day where his sleep may be compromised, but I mean, some things are worth not sleeping for.
Question of the Day:
What time do you eat breakfast? Lunch?
