I’m big on happiness. And healthiness. And productivity.
I think it’s no secret that the three things are linked to one another.
And one of the biggest happiness stumbling blocks – which negatively impacts your healthiness and productivity – is not getting enough sleep. Luckily, since I entered the teaching profession a few years ago, I’ve understood the importance of getting enough rest. If I’m expected to be alive, alert, and patient with children, I need to make sure my body and mind are fully rested for each day.
But, still, I find that even if I’m headed to bed at 9PM, it doesn’t count as quality sleep if I wake up throughout the night.
So, I feel like investing some $$$ in a quality mattress or bedding brand is important. It’s absolutely worth it.
REM-Fit is an active lifestyle bedding brand that started to help people lead a healthy and fit lifestyle by getting the best sleep possible. Their products can be broken down into three categories:
- REST collection. Which features their patented pillows.
- ENERGIZE collection. Which includes their top quality sheets.
- MOTIVATE collection. Which consists of their sleep and activity trackers.
The pillow.
Oh the pillow. It helps regulate body temperature during sleep and adjusts to your preferred sleeping style [back, side, or stomach]. And it’s customizable. You can add or remove the inner support clusters depending on what’s most comfortable for you.
It is worth the extra money. I have never owned a pillow as comfortable as this. I find that, when I use it, I sleep through the night. The only drawback is that none of my pillow covers fit on it. So, if you do happen to purchase it, buy one of their pillow covers too!
The activity tracker.
Honestly, I haven’t been using it much since I already own a Fitbit. And because all my friends/family use the Fitbit, I prefer to stick to that because of the weekly challenges that help motivate me to keep moving.
But, for someone who doesn’t own a Fitbit, it provides the same information (e.g. steps, calories, distance traveled) and also tracks your sleep patterns. I also played around with the REM-Fit app on my iPhone and I prefer it to the Fitbit app. It has more options and is more customizable.
All in all, I appreciate the company for prioritizing good sleep and overall good health. After all, it ultimately leads to a happier, more productive lifestyle.

Everyone make fun of me but I cannot sleep on a pillow. Any pillow. I sleep holding the pillow over my head or hugging it. Crazy.
