First and foremost, happy birthday to this wonderful man. Love you so, so much Nandi Uncle. Wishing we were with you on your special day!
We celebrated lots on the west coast for Nandi Uncle’s birthday. And also because weekends should just be celebrated.
Friday:
Came home, watched the sun go down, made some pizza, and passed out by 9:30. [Which doesn’t sound like a celebration, but it is. It absolutely is.]
Saturday:
When you fall asleep at 9:30 from partying too hard, you wake up at 5:30 and have plenty of time to go hiking and watch the sun rise.
The trail was just ours for most of the time. Not too many people on the hike up. Except for this biker that I silently stalked.
After the hike, we decided to pick up lunch, drive up to Loma Prieta Winery, and do some work there. If work’s gotta get done, might as well do it in a REALLY pretty place.
At night, the celebrations continued with Pink Drink.
Sunday:
Another early night means another early hike. Jen and I went up to Sanborn for a quick hike through the redwoods. So much happiness.
We spent the rest of the afternoon working (me) and cooking (Jen). Typically, my Sunday work sessions are accompanied by some major Sunday stress. But, since we’ve got no kiddos this upcoming week, the stress did not take over.
And, now, after a relaxing weekend spent mostly outdoors, I’m happier than ever and ready to tackle a week full of PD.
Happy Monday!
Questions of the Day:
- Do you prefer to get your work done inside or out?
- What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this week?
