Hi hello and happy Friday!
It’s 4:30am and I’m sitting in the rocking chair in our bedroom, willing Riyu not to wake up. He may wake up with the light of the laptop. But, yesterday, I tried to sneak out of the room for some alone time, which ended up with him waking up far too early for the day.
Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t.
I had a therapy session with Heather yesterday, releasing some of the emotions I feel about all of this. I love cosleeping with my babies. Would do it all over again if I had a choice. But, there are some days I just want to be able to get up before them to get some alone time, but, obviously, they sense when we are not next to them and they’re like, “YOU UP? LET’S PARTY.”
And by, “let’s party,” I mean, throw themselves on the ground repeatedly because they are too tired but won’t go back to sleep now.
She asked me how I felt about the current situation.
And I answered honestly.
If you ask me about it NOW, I’ll tell you I freaking love it. Can’t imagine anything else.
If you ask me about it four hours from now, my answer will change.
I am so up and down about it. And it’s all based on how I feel mentally and physically and if my own needs are being met.
There are only a select few people I want to talk about this with. Because everybody and their mom will try to tell me how to handle the whole sleep thing. But it’s all just very noisy for my brain to take on right now.
Anyway, for now, I am well rested.
Ask me again next week and we’ll see.
Ha.
Okay, anyway, aside from my book reviews, I haven’t actually been here to share the happenings. So, per usual, I’m going to do a massive photo dump of the past few days.

We took a “IT’S WARM SO WE ARE STAYING HOME!” day and went to the zoo on Monday.
Ankur and I got to have dinner at The Dearborn.
Ishu finally finished opening up his Easter eggs and is halfway through opening up his birthday presents.
He had his five-year old well check and he is growing despite my constant worry that he’s not eating enough (clearly, I should let this go by now).
The tulips are out. Beautiful. And making me so happy.
We had our April book club this week and Abby knocked it out of the park again. But my all time favorite book this month was this one. You gotta read it.
And Dadi comes on Sunday. She’s coming for work, but we’ll take her however we can get her. Ha.
SENDING YOU ALL LOVE AND FAIRY DUST THAT WILL HOPEFULLY MAKE YOUR BABIES SLEEP SO HARD. (Sprinkling some on this little guy over here too).
