This is normally how I feel on ALL Sunday nights, but yesterday, after 2 weeks away from work, the feeling was quite strong.
The past two weeks have been so wonderful. Getting to spend time with family, seeing friends after SO long, and just getting SLEEP (<—amazing what that can do for the body!).
I got to see Sam and Bella and Will and Vee.
And play Monster Mash.
I got to have a quick lunch with Gina and Tyler when they briefly visited SoCal for the weekend.
I did a LOT of self-care. Sleep. Haircut. Real people things.
I got to be goofy and silly with my family. Like, on New Years Eve, when we played more Minute-to-Win-It games.
The objective of this one was to roll the cookie from your forehead to your mouth using only your face muscles.
Moving ornaments from one bowl to another using no hands – only a spoon in your mouth.
Moving an ornament from one end of the room to another using only the air out of a straw.
Moving M&Ms from a waterbottle to a glass using only a straw.
And, a personal favorite, Heads Up. I can’t tell you how many times I had to leave the room because I was gasping for air. My family is the silliest.
Everything was perfect.
The best way to spend the holidays.
Now, hopefully enough caffeine will prepare me – both mentally and physically – to make this drive to work.
Happiest of Mondays to all. We can do this.
Question of the Day:
- How did you spend your holidays?
