Good morning! We’ve got snow on the horizon (well…they’re predicting flurries on Sunday) and all of us are crossing our fingers that it sticks to the ground so we will have a Snow Day on Monday! Yes, I’m getting ahead of myself as it’s only Wednesday. But, I’ve been refreshing the weather app all week long like a crazy person. I guess that’s what you do when you live in eastern TN. (If you’ve got a few minutes, watch this video of a Johnson City teacher singing about Snow Days. It’s exactly how I feel every single time there is even a 5% chance of snow).
And since it’s Wednesday (the day of Confessions), I might as well confess that I think I love Snow Days more than the students do. Even though I tell them that I’m pretty bummed to be missing school. I don’t think I actually feel all that bummed.

Confession:
The people in the McDonalds Drive-Thru might be my best friends. Yesterday morning, I told them I was from California (on my first go-around when I picked up an unsweetened iced tea). And then on my second-go around (for a Diet Coke), they asked me all sorts of questions about California. Because they recognized me. Because I’m brown. But, also because it’s probably pretty rare that someone go through the drive-thru twice in two hours.
Confession:
I came home from work and crawled into my bed for two hours yesterday. Thank goodness for friends like Nicole who force me to go to Step Aerobics when all I want to do is eat buckets of chocolate and drink gallons of wine.

Remember when I surprised my Secret Pal at work with lots and lots and lots of candy back in November/December? Well, she is clearly better at moderating her chocolate intake than I am. She got called in for Jury Duty this week and I watched her class for 15 minutes on Monday afternoon. I noticed she still had a ton of the chocolate I left on her desk. So, obviously, I snagged me a few pieces. Like a thief. Or an Indian giver.

Oh my goodness I had forgotten how we used to be at our Chick-fil-A drive through. It was right on the way to mommy and me Spanish 🙂 🙂 and on the way back… I would hit that thing up for drinks and fruit at least seven times a week sometimes twice a day!!

I went through a drive thru today. I hate to say that because I don’t do it often. But my teen is always hungry and I had a few stops before home, so I indulged him with a burger. I like most any type of real chocolate, in small pieces. I much prefer the fun sized or individual pieces to a big candy bar for some reason, but I’ll eat my weight in those little things in one sitting if I am not careful. That’s weird that your friend had leftover chocolate, I’d have eaten it all long ago!
There are days I wish I had the time to go back to bed, but I’m one of those people that usually wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep. If I’m going through a drive-thru it’s probably for my oldest.

I’m doing a little diet competition PLUS a gave up soda for a 21 day fast we’re doing at church. I haven’t been through the drive through in a while; however, I’m dying to drive through any fast food joint for a very large soda!

I go through the drive thru often 😉 I love my fries. And my Diet Coke. The people at McDonalds know me too.

I love snow days myself, I wish we had that this year but unfortunately no snow here. Yesterday on my way back from the doctor I had to go through drive because I wanted their chicken nuggets.
Haha it’s not cuz your brown or went through the drive thru twice it’s because you ordered an unsweetened tea. I use the drive thru when I’m in a hurry. It’s so convenient with kids. Favorite candy bars are Snickers, Butterfingers and Reese Peanutbutter Cup.

You are adorable 🙂 I used to be very friendly with the people at the Dunkin’ Donuts in my town… so much so, that I got the inside gossip of who was sleeping together and which customers were crazy. It was kind of amazing.

Your drive-thru story made me laugh so much. I’m a serial Starbucks stalker – they pretty much know me at the drive-thru window, in fact once they reminded me that I’d forgotten to add the sugar to my latte order. It’s really something when the staff know how you like your coffee better than you do. Lol!

Here in the city of Arizona it only gets chilly during the winter. Snow would be nice but that only happens up north in the mountains!
I’m actually pretty good with staying away from the drive-thru (for a little while..lol) but chocolate is my weakness, especially Oh Henry Bars!
hahah my confession, I changed out of my pajamas, showered, and put on new pajamas lol. It has been a pajama kind of week at my house this week.

I used to rarely hit up drive-thrus, however when I’m starving and I have sleeping kids in the car, I tend to swing by Starbuck.

Cool post! Come to think of it I have not yet gone through a drive-through this year! And I may just try to hold out as much as I can because last year I went through the drive-through a lot and ruined my healthy diet…haha!

The last time I went through a drive-thru was two weeks ago when I picked up my daughter from school early. I ordered a light coffee and small french fry for me and a small french fry and orange Hi-C for my daughter. It was a little snack before mommy/daughter shopping.

I swear that I live at McDonalds most weeks LOL. My son is a super picky eater but he will wolf down those chicken nuggets and apple slices as many times as we can go up there.

I used to get a breakfast sandwich when I was in high school once or twice a week with my mom and the drive thru lady knew my mom and i–it was lovely! I honestly think it’s been 2 years since I’ve gone through a drive thru and gotten anything!

Haha! That song is hilarious! I remember when I was a kid hoping it would be hot enough for enough days in a row so we could get a day off school… it never happened though, and there was absolutely no chance of a snow day happening ever over here.
PS on the whole wine issue I managed to go for a 8km run followed by fish and chips and a wine (with my friend, who obviously thinks the same way I do) – they cancel each other out, right!?

I am guilty of that drive thru thing. I was in one yesterday, ordering a Bacon Mushroom Melt and a large Coke. Goodbye diet! Haha. I don’t have any particular favorite brand of chocolate, but if I have some, I want it to be the dark chocolate with hazelnuts kind.

I am Canadian so in typical Canadian fashion my last drive-thru trip was at Tim Hortons, as was my one before that and the one before that. I go there a couple times a day, I do also occassionally go through the drive-thru at Subway or Burger King but not often as I’m not big on fast food

Usually, I go to Starbucks drive-thru a couple of times during a week but the day before yesterday, I went to Taco Bell drive-thru. They were super quick compared to the drive-in.

I used to work at a school in the US and I LOVED snow days. In fact if snow was predicated, I made sure I went to the store beforehand so that’d I’d have all kinds of yummy goodies and could sleep in, make breakfast, marathon Netflix, etc. Now I live in Spain where drive throughs and snow days are less frequent.

Love this! I share your same confession about post-work naps. Oh, and naps on Saturday or Sunday afternoon too. Those are the best things EVER. I love chocolate too! My colleague across the hall always has a big bowl of almond Kisses on his desk. I have to turn my head away whenever I walk past, or I would eat the whole bowl every day. Struggles.
My sister is a teacher so she always loves her snow days! Hmmm, the last time I was in the drive-thru it was probably for McDonalds. That’s usually the one I hit here in our town.

Last drive thru – Chick Fil A – my daughter has food allergies and this is the only fast food place we can go to. I ordered my normal – spicy chicken sandwich, and her a kids meal. Favorite chocolate – can’t pick one, I love them all!

Its only been about a week since i went through the drive thru, and it was at Dunkin Donuts for a coffee and a bagel. My favorite chocolate is Ghirardelli with the caramel in the middle. One of my confessions is that i hate working out lol its just not for me! I mean…i get my exercise in other ways, but the gym and having a workout routine is bleh.
I am usually going through the Dunkin Donuts drive through…so it is mostly always an extra large coffee with cream 🙂 Actually, I need some right now!

The last time I went through a drive thru was at chick fil a. I ordered the basic chicken sandwich and fries as well as an oreo shake! I am a serial Chick-Fil-A drive thru customer. I order the Kids meal and instead of the toy I get an ice cream cone.
