WIAW and Slowing Down

Happy Wednesday to all! I usually don’t participate in What I Ate Wednesday because I never have the patience to snap a picture of everything I eat, but I’ve been trying to slow down lately and really be mindful of my day, my food, my life. Keeping a visual journal each day also helps me in determining what food and/or drinks may be triggering a crazy reaction from my body.

So let’s do this. But be warned – my foods are not always pretty. Especially because my motto is: the uglier, the tastier. :)

Breakfast (6:00AM) – Starbucks (Yes, I’m still Sarah!) and a Chobani Bite

Snack (10:00AM) - String Cheese and Apple

Lunch (12:00PM) – Here’s where it gets ugly. Cabbage, Ground Turkey, Okra, Garbanzo Beans, Salsa, and some Wholly Guacamole!

Snack (3:00PM) - SmartPop Popcorn

Dinner: (7PM) - Went to Sushi Confidential with some co-workers. Had two chicken sliders and 4 pieces of sushi.

In other news, I left work on time again. I finally say Silver Linings Playbook and loved it. And we’re almost halfway through the week!

Your Turn! :)

What are some of your favorite sushi rolls?

How do you incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet?

I love adding veggies to my smoothies each day. I also make sure to have them all prepped at the beginning of the week so its as easy as getting them out of the fridge. Your cabbage meal looks yum!

      That’s smart! Prepping is key!

Those chicken sliders look amazing. I have not had sushi in forever and am seeing it in so many blog posts lately and totally craving it. I love everything with spicy tuna in it.

Yum! Spicy tuna is as adventurous as I’ll go!
